Project 1
Procurement of EDP equipment (H/W and System S/W) for the needs of the “Electronic Secondary Securities Market” and the “Electronic Repurchase Agreement Market (REPOS)”. Our company has installed Tandem and Non-Stop systems so as to ensure the required seamless operation and reliability.
Description of the Tandem installed equipment:
• The production system that serves the implementation of theElectronic Secondary Securities Market is the Non-Stop Himalaya K2006 with 6 processors.
• At the same time, one more Tandem Non-Stop Himalaya K2002 system with 2 CPUs has been installed for the development and testing of new applications.
• Finally, there is a third remote K2006 system, which operates as a disaster server and is able to “play the role” of the system in case of any disaster.
Project 2
Computerization of the “Dematerialized Securities Transaction Monitoring System”: Our company was assigned the project of the new computerization of the “Dematerialized Securities Transaction Monitoring System” (Uncertified Securities), which operates now in the Bank of Greece. This project includes the development of an application based on a client-server architecture, and uses:
• Tandem Non-Stop SQL central database (RDBMS), which is located at the existing Non-Stop Himalaya K2006 server.
• Developer/2000 development tool by Oracle for the workstations (PC clients).
This system covers transaction for the following categories of dematerialized securities:
• Greek treasury bills
• Greek treasury bonds
• Other Greek treasury titles (such as foreign currency bonds).
Our company undertook all the phases of the project, which includes analysis of requirements, design and development of the application, testing, migration from the old to the new Tandem system, parallel run of the new application with the old one, and final delivery.
Project 3
Implementation of Real-Disaster-Recovery feature of the data protection of the Non-Stop Himalaya system.
All changes to the data of ESSM, REPOS and DEMATERILIZED SECURITIES
applications that run during a day in the system, they are automatically forwarded to the backup Non-Stop Himalaya system located at Holargos, so that they are always up to date. The Non-Stop “Remote Database Facility (RDF)” software had been installed for the implementation of disaster-recovery, which ensures replication of the data contained in the database and software, from the production to the backup system.
Project 4
The project was implemented in the context of the “Restricted Tender for the Migration to SWIFTNet project” contest that the Bank of Greece has organized.
The particular project was about the implementation of an integrated IT solution for the shift from the existing X.25-based SWIFT Transport Network to a Secure IP Network.
Project 5
“Dienekis” supplied and implemented the necessary Sun Microsystems’ H/W and System S/W to the bank’s Dealing Room so as the implementation of the Trema company’s special software was feasible.
